MATTHIAS P. BLAUL
Co-Founder and CEO
Matthias founded a firm specialising in writing tools to create a virtual reality world in 1998, which Goldman Sachs valued at 3.5 billion USD 1.5 years later.
Matthias later worked in commodities trading and ultimately specialised in the gold business, particularly at a gold mine in Tanzania. Matthias was also involved in the development of a quality management company in Romania and the Maghreb Region, where he was a shareholder of a construction company.
In parallel, Matthias built investment structures and techniques for high-value returns in debenture trading.
Matthias became associated with Bactrace because Walter Miedl, the founder of Bactrace, has been a good friend of Matthias' for over 15 years. The development of a vaccine was funded in part by Matthias.
FRANK BAR
Co-Founder
Frank graduated from the University of Mines Senftenberg with degrees in Mining Engineering and Civil Engineering. Frank also served in the military for three years.
Frank has vast knowledge of mining deposits and the building materials trade.
Frank was the Pipe Construction & Civil Engineering Project Leader at Insumma Gera/Nurnberg and RAB Gera. Frank worked as the Operations Manager for Building Construction at Plus Bau Gera from 2002 to 2004.
Frank has been a shareholder of PPC Planungs, a building and project design and construction monitoring company, since 2004.
